You never know when inspiration will hit. Last summer, while strolling along the River Thames in London's Chelsea, Norfolk Natural Living's Bella discovered the Chelsea Fig - a two-hundred-year-old tree with an intoxicating scent. This rich fragrance inspired Wild Fig and Gardenia.
Strolling along the rippling river, the warm breeze carries the scent of her abundant fruit well before her heaving branches come into view. A tantalising blend of ripe figs, their luscious sweetness mingling with the earthy, almost carnal notes of the tree's bark.
Stepping closer, the scent unfolds, revealing the delicate petals of the gardenia flower - their creamy, sensual aroma enveloping me in a warm embrace. While trails of musky sandalwood and heliotrope's powdery allure linger hauntingly in the air.
